Each year the city of Longmont asks the community to submit pieces of art that will remain in place for a year. The Art on the Move program began in 2005 and exhibits between three and ten pieces of art annually. The city is once again asking for submissions.

Art on the Move is a loan program that exhibits works of art by regional artists. Artists are allowed to submit up to three different pieces to be considered.

“The Art in Public Places Commission is seeking to display unique, original artwork of a diverse range,” stated Longmont Art in Public Places in a Meta post.

Selected artists will receive $1,000 per piece of artwork after it has been delivered and installed. Artwork must be size- and scale-appropriate for the available spaces which are determined by the Art in Public Places panel.

Submissions are due by March 10 at 5 p.m.
