APRIL 8, 1933 – MARCH 18, 2024

Clovis Santistevan of Fort Collins, Colorado was welcomed home to Heaven on Monday, March 18, 2024. He passed away peacefully at the age of 90.

Affectionately known to family and friends as "Claudy" or "Claude", he began this life in Farisita, Colorado on April 8, 1933. His parents were Romolo Santistevan and Anna Archuleta. Claudy was born into a large family and is preceded in death by his parents and by 15 brothers and sisters. He was orphaned early on in his life and grew up living with various family members, until he was old enough to join the military.

Claudy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. After his term of service, he took some classes in auto mechanics and worked in construction for most of his life. In 1955, Claudy married Margie Maes at Holy Family Catholic Church in Fort Collins. Together they welcomed five children.

Claudy liked fishing and working on cars. Later in his life he enjoyed going out to eat and going to the casinos. He loved spending time with his family. Claudy was a hardworking man who took care of his family. He was kind and easy going. He was also quiet and patient, and always thought of others. At meal times, he always made sure that everyone else had food before he started eating. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Claudy leaves behind a great legacy and is survived by his children, Glenn (Mary), Norma Jean (Rick), Mary Ellen (Richie), Shirley Ann (Dan), and Duane (Cathy); 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his sister, Lydia Quintana, and sister-in-law Sophie Santistevan, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.

Services will be held on Monday, March 25th, 2024 at Resthaven Funeral Home & Memory Gardens beginning with a Viewing at 10am, followed by a Rosary at 10:30am, and Memorial Service at 11am. Graveside Services will be held privately.
