Mayor Bagley to be among speakers at Commuting Solutions Legislative Breakfast

The legislative breakfast will convene elected officials, the Northwest Mayors and Commissioners Coalition, businesspeople and transportation planners for a morning of advocacy in advance of the 2021 legislative session, according to a news release.

Mayor Brian Bagley will be one of the featured speakers at the Commuting Solutions 12th Legislative Breakfast held virtually from 8 to 10 a.m. Jan. 7.

The legislative breakfast will convene elected officials, the Northwest Mayors and Commissioners Coalition, businesspeople and transportation planners for a morning of advocacy in advance of the 2021 legislative session, according to a news release from Commuting Solutions.

The legislative breakfast is a key mechanism for furthering federal, state and regional progress and collaboration, the news release states. 

This year’s theme of the breakfast is “Mobility 2021: Build Back Better!” Topics will include climate change, electrification of transportation, local mobility needs and administration changes, according to the release.

Bagley serves as the liaison for the city on the Northwest Mayors and Commissioners Coalition. He will speak along with the U.S. Congressman Joe Neguse, Gov. Jared Polis, state Sen. Faith Winter, state Rep. Matt Gray and Shoshana Lew, executive director of the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The keynote speaker will be Alice Jackson, president of Xcel Energy-Colorado. The emcee will be Chris Wood, editor and publisher of BizWest.
