Matt Maenpaa has been a Colorado resident for nearly a decade, most of which has been in Longmont. From working in local restaurants and bars to getting involved in the vibrant arts community, he felt rooted in the town. An avid writer, editor and photographer, Matt strives for compassion and integrity. Writing for The Leader is an opportunity to support the Longmont community he calls home.

Launched by Jennifer Ferguson and Bricks Retail, the #longmonsterlove Valentine’s Day campaign wants to take the holiday beyond couples and bring out the love for local businesses and the community as a whole. Bookmarks printed in English and Spanish have been distributed to businesses across the city.
