Longmont police on Wednesday released four new photos of a person of interest in a suspected assault and robbery that turned fatal

Randall Schubert, 71, either fell off his bike and the suspects stole from him or he was assaulted while on his bike about 5 p.m. Nov. 5 on the greenway south of Lowe’s, 355 Ken Pratt Blvd., and north of the Longmont Recreation Center, Deputy Police Chief Jeff Satur said.

Schubert died Tuesday. The cause and manner of death are pending further investigation, the Boulder County Coroner stated in the press release.

Police last week via Facebook released photos of persons of interest taken from nearby store surveillance cameras. Police also have video of a suspect using the victim’s credit card and getting rid of it, Satur said.

One of the individuals was last seen riding a green Bridgestone bike taken from Schubert, according to the Facebook post.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Detective Jon High at 303-651-8485 or the Longmont Emergency Communications Center, 303-651-8501 and reference report No. 20-8649.
