Bid on golf packages, jewelry, art and fun themed baskets, drink craft brews and help homeless cats in our community. The Purrs and Paws gala, hosted by Longmont Friends of Feral & Abandoned Cats (LLFAC), is Oct. 14 from 6:15 until 9 p.m. at The Great Frame Up, 430 Main Street, Longmont.

Alexandra Eddy will provide live music while you peruse more than 70 silent auction items and enjoy appetizers, wine, beer, and deserts. Admission is $25 per person. You can register at www.longmontfriendsofcats.org, or mail checks to LFFAC, P.O.2205, Longmont, CO 80502. Please reference Gala in the memo line of the check.

“The gala is our biggest fundraiser,” Esther Mills, director of fundraising, said. “We use the money we raise to provide spay and neuter surgeries and vaccinations for community cats. The money also helps fund our foster program, so kittens that we have removed from colonies can be socialized and adopted into loving homes.”

LFFAC is a 100 percent volunteer organization that feeds and cares for community cats and works to reduce the cat overpopulation and to prevent litters of homeless kittens.
