Dog Dayz Swimming at Kanemoto Pool

  • Time: 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. & 4-7 p.m.
  • Location: Kanemoto Pool, 1151 S. Pratt Parkway

Bring your socialized dog to Kanemoto Activity Pool, 1151 S Pratt Parkway, for swimming and fun! After the activity pools are closed to the general human public, the pool chemicals are neutralized so the water is safe for dogs. $4 per dog per session; passes are not valid.

Dog Dayz Swimming Aug. 17-18 and Aug. 24-25
Small Dogs Only: 9-10am & 4-5pm
All Dogs: 10am-12pm & 5-7pm

Heritage Wheat Harvest

  • Time: 1:30-3 p.m.
  • Location: Agricultural Heritage Center, 8348 Ute Highway, Longmont

Come experience a traditional wheat harvest! Participants will have the chance to try their hand at threshing, winnowing, and grinding our homegrown heirloom wheat. Learn about traditional harvest methods and methods appropriate for backyard-scale grain growing. Free. Appropriate for adults and children ages 8+. Registration required.

  • Time: 1-3 p.m.
  • Location: Longmont Fire Station 6, 501 South Pratt Parkway

Meet your Longmont Firefighters at Fire Station No. 6 (501 South Pratt Parkway) this Saturday from 1pm - 3pm. Take a look at the equipment and learn how to stop the bleed. Last Longmont Fire Open house of 2019!

Paint with a Twist!

  • Time: 4-7 p.m.
  • Location: Firehouse Art Center, 667 4th Ave., Longmont

This is not your typical Paint and Pints event!

Join local Artist Sabrina Ehlert for an evening of Painting, Pints and Paper. You will be guided through all the steps of painting a bright, Beach inspired 16×20 canvas, but when the painting is finished the fun doesn’t end there…

Sabrina will go on to demonstrate and instruct you on the fine art of paper quilling and you will get to add your own 3D quilled elements to your painting giving your project a twist that will make it stand out.

Tickets start at $40 in advance, $45 at the door. With a $10 discount for Members of the Firehouse!

Included with your purchase, is all of the painting and paper supplies, detailed instruction and guidance, and a drink. At the end of the event, you will have a hand painted, 16×20 canvas, created by you. Come out with friends or on your own, this event is a fun way to kick off the week.

****Paint with a Twist is geared towards adults 21+, however teens and older children are welcome with a parent/guardian. Participants must be 21+ to enjoy the complimentary alcoholic beverage. Non alcoholic beverages are available by request.****
