The Longmont Symphony's first concert of the 2017-18 season, 'New Frontiers with Old & New Friends', opens this Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Vance Brand Civic Auditorium.

The concert will "explore friendships through music" and "celebrate all of the new musical friendships being forged here in Longmont with piano sensation, Spencer Myer, the local composer and 2016 Pulitzer Prize finalist, Carter Pann, our new Music Director, Elliot Moore, and of course, the wonderful musicians of your Longmont Symphony."

Tickets are $25 for adults; $22 for Senior (60+)/Active Military; $5 for Students (12-18 yrs) and free for children 11 and under. Showtime is 7:30 p.m.

A free pre-concert talk with Elliot Moore and Carter Pann will be held in the Commons area starting at 6:30 p.m. An Afterglow Party will also be held after the concert at Bin 46 Wine Bar & Restaurant.
