(DENVER, Colo.) Sept. 3, 2025 -- Denver’s world-famous 13th Floor Haunted House is teaming up with Vitalant and The Shops at Northfield to host a frightfully fun community event with real lifesaving impact: the 13th Floor Haunted House Blood Drive on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“It’s a scary thought that blood might not be available when patients need it most,” said Bryan Kopp, General Manager at 13th Floor Haunted House Denver. “By teaming up with Vitalant and The Shops at Northfield, we’re giving the community a fun and meaningful way to face their fears, donate blood, and help save lives while celebrating the Halloween season.”
The one-of-a-kind blood drive invites donors to give blood, and in return, each donor will receive two general admission tickets to the 13th Floor Haunted House. Donating blood takes just an hour and takes roughly one pint of blood, which has the potential to save three lives, making it one of the simplest yet most impactful ways to support the community. Vitalant will bring its state-of-the-art bloodmobile to The Shops at Northfield, while the 13th Floor brings its signature scares to create a uniquely spooky and spirited donation experience.
“While the majority of the population is eligible to donate blood only about 3% actually do, yet someone in the U.S. needs blood every two seconds,” said Brooke Derloshon, Communications Manager at Vitalant “By joining forces with iconic local brands like the 13th Floor Haunted House and The Shops at Northfield, we’re making blood donation approachable, fun, and impactful just in time for the fall season.”
September is a particularly important time to replenish the community’s blood supply before the busy holiday season. By hosting a themed blood drive, Vitalant, 13th Floor, and The Shops at Northfield are turning the tradition of fall thrills into an opportunity for Denver residents to save lives while celebrating their love of Halloween.
