A pedestrian death near Highway 85 and Highway 34 is being investigated by the Evans Police Department (EPD). Preliminary findings from the investigation that began on August 3 indicate that the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in an unreported hit-and-run incident. As of now, there are no further details regarding the vehicle or the deceased victim.
The EPD is asking for assistance from the public and encourages anyone with information to contact the EPD investigations unit at 970-339-2441 in reference to case number 25EP01435.
The EPD said no further information will be released to the public to protect the integrity of the investigation. The Weld County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity after proper notifications have been made to the victim’s family.
