Aspen Center for Child Development, a Program of OUR Center, provides high-quality, affordable daycare and preschool activities for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years so their parents can work or continue education, knowing their children are cared for in a loving and nurturing environment. Aspen Center for Child Development is the only 5-star rated preschool program in Boulder County (the highest rating attainable) by Colorado Shines, the state rating agency for the quality of educational programming. Aspen Center is seeking funding for scholarships for families that cannot afford full-rate childcare services but are working on being self-reliant. Gifts are tax-deductible and may qualify for a 50% tax credit.

YOU can make a difference in a child’s life and get terrific tax benefits, too!

The mission of Aspen Center is to provide daycare and child development programs that enhance the social, intellectual, physical, and emotional well-being of children from families of all income levels in and around the Longmont community, as well as to support parents working toward self-sufficiency. The Aspen Center prepares children of low-income families for school success.

The philosophy of Aspen is: “We believe in providing quality services by fostering family and staff partnerships. Together, we work with each child as an individual, and encourage families to offer their input on the goals for their child/children. This collaboration between families and staff creates a supportive framework for success. We believe in respect for children, families, and staff.”

The cost of childcare presents a great barrier to families who are trying to break out of poverty and become self sufficient, and is prohibitively high in Boulder County and the St. Vrain region.  Therefore, we seek scholarship support to close the gap between what is affordable for many families and the actual cost of care.

Did You Know? Colorado taxpayers who donate to Aspen Center for Child Development may be eligible for a 50% tax credit off of their state taxes!  That is over and above any federal deductions you may receive.

Where else can you get 50% of your money back?  It’s a win-win!

Simply indicate your gift is for Aspen Center and we will send you the appropriate tax form in January for the preceding year.  Our goal is to raise $15,000 to provide a monthly scholarship for 15 families in the greater Longmont area.

Fast Fact: For every one dollar spent on early care and education, nine dollars are saved over time in special education, criminal justice and health care.

About the Live & Give Program:

Help shape Longmont’s future in a single day.

On September 26th, Live & Give Longmont brings our community together for 24 hours of generosity. With everyone in the community giving whatever they can, we hope to raise start up funds for a few projects in our community. It’s about working together to accentuate the place we love—so it will continue to thrive today and for generations to come.
