Tim is extraordinary in his willingness and ability to lead. He has a lifetime of working with people as a teacher, a school principal, and Superintendent of Schools in Greeley. Additionally, his long time as CEO of an international company proves his leadership skills. Imagine what someone with that background could do to help move Longmont forward.

I have attended a number of events where Tim Waters spoke. I observed that people appreciated him for staying true to his beliefs regardless of whether he was answering questions from a source that agreed or disagreed with him. When he could have softened or moderated his position to accommodate his listener, he did not. Additionally, he raised the level of thinking from wherever it began to include answers for the whole of Longmont rather than just the concerns of the questioner. I also appreciate that all of his positions are clearly available on his website. No guessing required.

In conversation, Tim Waters makes it immediately clear that he has been thinking about Longmont’s future for a long time and he brings his considerable life experiences to bear on topics that concern everyone. The result is he provides better answers, more complete answers, and offers viable approaches that people want to support and work for. It is the definition of great leadership. Why would we choose to settle for less? I think It is Time for Tim.
