I am endorsing Josh Goldberg in this special election for Council Ward 1.
During the six years that I have crossed paths with Josh on several
community fund raisers, I have seen him work hard not only as an organizer,
but also an active participant in several long and hard charity bicycle
rides such as the MS ride and the Exempla Hospital Century ride. Josh has
all the qualities of a great leader. He is smart, energetic, a great
listener, communicator, and he loves people.
He has been a thoughtful, fair-minded commissioner on the Planning and
Zoning board. He has an independent, pragmatic, decision-making style,
based on data and facts of the current issue, not on personal ideology,
partisan demands, or emotions. He will work hard to find practical
solutions to complex problems and to get things done with integrity and
team work.
I am convinced, by my direct personal interactions with Josh that he will
seek to understand all sides of an issue so that he can make informed
decisions that are in the best interest of Longmont. You will never see
Josh looking up at the voting board to see which way he should vote based
on how others voted. Josh’s has the courage to make the really tough long
range decisions.
The welfare of, and quality of life for Longmont residents are Josh’s top
priorities. He has demonstrated that in spades by how he has interacted
with this community over the past decade.
I believe that Josh has the integrity, vision, and leadership experience to
be the best representative for the residents of Ward 1. I encourage you to
join me in supporting Josh Goldberg as Ward 1 city council representative.
