I’m supporting Jonathan Singer for Boulder County commissioner. In my position as a Longmont City Council member, Jonathan has been a trusted advocate for issues affecting our city.

He has supported historic legislation, standing up to the oil and gas industry and supports our city’s fracking ban. Jonathan joined Longmont officials in a meeting with Governor Polis supporting our FasTracks Peak Service plan resulting in support from the governor.

Jonathan invited several groups and officials to the capitol to discuss concerns about our local airports.

Jonathan has worked with our immigrant community and El Comite for years on housing, passing legislation addressing driver’s licenses for everyone and being available to solve problems arising from the 2013 flood.

Longmont’s work with our homeless population needs Johnathan’s passion, experience and network with mental health organizations, outreach communities, and funding opportunities.

His experience and contacts with affordable housing will be critical at this time when so many have been affected by the coronavirus and stay-at-home protocols.

This is not the time to vote for a commissioner who doesn’t have the knowledge or experience with all the challenges facing Longmont.

Ballots are being mailed now. Please cast your vote for the experience, knowledge and commitment we need to move forward. Jonathan Singer is the most qualified to be a Boulder County commissioner.

Joan Peck,
At-large Longmont City Council member
