Opinion: Mike Jansen--Jeff Moore for Fair and Balanced Leadership

I’ve known Jeff Moore for nearly twenty years as a neighbor and also as president of the homeowners association of Meadowview 7 & 9, where we live and I serve as treasurer.

I’ve known Jeff Moore for nearly twenty years as a neighbor and also as president of the homeowners association of Meadowview 7 & 9, where we live and I serve as treasurer.

Jeff’s background as a scientist, engineer, and operations director provides him with unique skills in exercising oversight and fiscal responsibility. This has served him well in the capacity as president of our board (a board which had serious fiscal issues prior to his being there) and on the Longmont city council. His common sense approach to issues and his ability to listen to both sides is what Longmont needs. He’s not extreme on any of his positions. He leaves partisan politics and special interests out of his decision making process to do what’s best for all of Longmont’s residents.

Like I’ve said, I’ve known Jeff for a long time and I cannot think of anyone more suitable and qualified to continue leading Longmont. Jeff’s previous experience representing Longmont in Ward 2 and on the board of directors of the National League of Cities, as well as being the current president of Tinkermill, demonstrates his commitment to public service. Please join me in voting for Jeff Moore, City Council At-Large.
