This week COVID-19 positive cases “decreased greatly,” according to a Facebook post from Boulder County Public Health.
Over the last seven-day period, the average number of positive cases has decreased to 37.1 among Boulder County residents, according to Boulder County Public Health data released yesterday.
However, Longmont has risen above Boulder in the cumulative number of positive cases by four.
Residents continue to get vaccinated however, the numbers have slowed. The county reports 69.2% of residents have received at least one dose of the vaccine so far. Over 55% of residents or 151,215 people have received the full course of the vaccine.
Vaccine administration by race and ethnicity continues to climb among most populations, however, those identifying as Hispanic remain with the lowest percentage of those vaccinated.
Boulder County Public Health encourages residents to “continue to take precautions, such as washing your hands frequently and wearing a mask, as vaccinations increase,” according to a Facebook post yesterday.
