A 81-year-old Burnaby woman hit by a car while walking in the Metrotown area Friday has died.

On Tuesday, the Longmont Police Department, or LPD, received a call to respond to the 900 block of Button Rock Drive about an aggravated motor vehicle theft.
When police arrived on the scene, they learned a person’s car had “just disappeared from an apartment complex parking lot,” Sergeant Matt Cage with LPD said.
According to Cage, some evidence of the car might have been recovered on I-25.
Police took a report about the incident but suspects remain unknown.
Stolen vehicles are a common occurrence in the Metro area right now, Cage said, and the LPD hopes that people will be careful with their cars with this in mind.
