A jury on Friday found Isaiah Rios guilty of murder in the 2019 death of 80-year-old Gary Hockaday, the Longmont Times-Call reported.

Hockaday was found stabbed in his Jewel Street on July 18, 2019.

Rios was found guilty of first-degree murder after deliberation and felony murder, as well as 13 other charges, according to the Times-Call.

“Both murder counts carry a mandatory sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole, which Boulder District Judge Andrew Hartman levied Friday following the verdict for the ‘inexplicable and shocking’ crime,” the Times-Call reported.
