The Longmont Police released an update on the shooting that happened at 321 Main St. on March 29.
The investigation suggests the two men who left the Speakeasy around 12:30 a.m. One of the men had a handgun. The duo encountered two other men on the sidewalk and an altercation ensued.
The two groups of men did not know each other, however, one man from the first group shot and killed a man from the second group.
Once the investigation is complete, the case will be forwarded to the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office for review.
