SEX ASSAULT 

Officers on Jan. 23responded to the 1700 block of Hover Street on a report of a burglary and attempted sexual assault. The case is open and the investigation is ongoing.

SHOOTING 

Police on Jan. 24 responded to the 4000 block of Redmond Drive in reference to reports of gunshots. Multiple shell casings were located in a parking lot. No victims or suspects were identified at this time.

SHOPLIFT 

Police on Jan. 24 responded to a shoplifting in the 2500 block of Main Street. A man was contacted and issued a summons for theft. 

DOMESTIC INCIDENT 

On Jan. 24 at approximately 2134 hours, police were dispatched to the 800 block of Judson Street in reference to a domestic violence incident that occurred in Gilpin County. A report was forwarded to the appropriate agency.

THEFT 

Police on Jan. 16 were dispatched to a phone report of theft from the 10 block of Third Avenue. There are no leads or suspects at this time.

INFORMATION 

A man on Jan. 23 reported an unknown person spit on his car twice in the previous week in the 4500 block of Redmond Drive. There was no damage to the car. The case is

closed.

AUTO THEFT 

Police on Jan. 24 responded to the 1400 block of South Collyer Street in reference to a possible stolen vehicle. Officers collected the available information and a report was taken.

DISTURBANCE 

On Jan. 24 at approximately 1139 hours, the police investigated a disturbance in the 2000 block of Zlaten Drive. A report was taken for documentation purposes. Case closed.

THEFT 

Police on Jan. 24 took a report by phone of domestic violence-related theft. A woman reported her ex-boyfriend stole her cell phone approximately two weeks ago. The case is open.

HARASSMENT 

Police on Jan. 24 took a report of harassment that occurred in the 2000 block of Medford Street. No suspects at this time.

HIT-AND-RUN 

Officers on Jan. 24 responded to the intersection of East 17th Avenue and Lashley Street in reference to a motor vehicle crash. A witness stated after the vehicles crashed, three people ran from one of the vehicles. Officers set up a perimeter and were able to locate all of the suspects after some of them were found to be hiding in unknowing victims’ houses. All parties were arrested.

OTHER AGENCY ASSIST 

Police on Jan. 24 were dispatched to assist with another agency in the 600 block of Lashley Street. A license plate was stolen and a report was taken.

TRESPASS 

Police on Jan. 24 found two individuals trespassing in the 1000 block of South Hover Street. Summonses were issued to both parties.
