Longmont Police Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 1300 block of Terry St. on Wednesday between a 51-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman. The man was later arrested.
The man rents a shed located behind the woman's home. On Wednesday, the man threatened the woman with a knife and then shut himself inside the shed, stated the Longmont Police Department in a news release.
The police responded to the scene and sent out a reverse notification to neighbors out of caution.
The man surrendered after police asked him to come out of the shed multiple times. The man was arrested for felony menacing.
