Boulder resident Mitchell James Clute, 57, was arrested on Monday for possessing and distributing child sexual abuse materials.
The Boulder County Digital Forensics Lab discovered the material while conducting a proactive investigation in Boulder County. A further investigation revealed that the material was downloaded to a device at Clute's residence, according to the Boulder County Sheriff's Office.
Officers executed a warrant on May 22 and seized several electronic devices. Thousands of files were discovered on the devices.
