Around 12:30 a.m. on Friday, the Longmont Police responded to a report of a shooting that occurred after two men fought in downtown Longmont.
The two men left the Speakeasy Bar. They began a verbal and physical altercation in front of 321 Main St.
One man shot the other during the fight. He then called 911 and remained at the scene when police arrived.
The man who was shot died from his injuries.
The police have launched an investigation. At this time no arrests have been made.
Any patron in the Speakeasy between 9:00 p.m. on March 28 and 12:30 a.m. on March 29 who has yet to speak with police is asked to contact Longmont Det. Jon High at 303-651-8584. Longmont Police also seek video taken by businesses or bystanders of this incident.
