On Saturday, a 36-year-old man went skydiving with Mile Hile Skydiving at Vance Brand Airport in Longmont. Around 3:27 p.m., Longmont Police and Fire responded to the area after a report that the man had hit the ground.

Officers reported that the man had died. "... it does not appear that his primary or reserve chute were deployed before striking the ground," a news release from LPD stated.

The death is currently under investigation by the FAA.

The man is a resident of a mountain community near Denver. His name is being held until the Boulder County Cornoner's Office releases it.
