Man in critical condition after being stabbed Tuesday night in Longmont

Officers were dispatched to the 1400 Block of Dry Creek Drive at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday on a welfare check and possible shooting when they found the man with multiple stab wounds, according to Jeff Satur, deputy chief of Longmont Police Services.

A 51-year-old man is in critical condition at a Denver area hospital after being stabbed multiple times Tuesday night at the 1400 block of Dry Creek Drive. 

The man, described as a transient, was transported to a Longmont hospital after officers rendered aid. He was later transported to Denver via air ambulance, Jeff Satur, deputy chief of Longmont Police Services, said via email.

Satur said officers were dispatched to the 1400 Block of Dry Creek Drive at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday on a welfare check and possible shooting when they found the man. Officers applied gauze and a tourniquet to help control the man’s bleeding, Satur said.

Police are seeking information about the incident. Anyone with information or who may have a video of the area is asked to call Detective Cody Clark at 303-774-4392.
