Longmont Police are attempting to locate and confirm the welfare of Lainee Klear — a 15-year-old girl from Longmont, according to Det. Commander Eric Hulett.
Lainee was last seen at her home between 11:20 p.m. and midnight on June 12. She left her home that night to visit her boyfriend, Pablo — a known drug dealer, whose last name is unknown, according to Lainee’s mother, Jody Klear.
When she left, Jody stated Lainee “had a calm demeanor and nothing seemed wrong,” as she did not take her bank card with her.
The Longmont Police have not issued a missing person report for Lainee because they do not consider her to be “At-Risk.”
According to Hulett, the definition of an At-Risk person is "someone who because of their current physical or mental capacity or other immediate circumstances would likely be at a significantly higher risk of physical danger than any other average person whose whereabouts are simply currently unknown."
Her mother suggested that Lainee’s boyfriend could be "sourcing her income" and providing her a place to stay. However, Lainee was not found at Pablo’s residence when police contacted him, according to Jody.
Jody’s concerns have grown since receiving a Snapchat message from Lainee which “sounds nothing like her,” Jody said, adding that she believes Pablo has access to Lainee’s social media information.
Lainee is described as a white female with brown eyes and shoulder-length black hair. She weighs around 140 pounds and is 5’6” tall. Lainee has her septum and nose, on the right side, pierced. She was last seen wearing a strapless maroon romper.
