Police search for evidence and suspect(s) from shooting

The shooting occurred at approximately 9 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, at approximately 9 p.m., officers from the Longmont Police Department, or  LPD, responded to calls referencing a shooting in the 1300 block of South Coffman Street. 

When police arrived on the scene, witnesses reported persons running from the area, one person shot and laying in the road and a black four door Acura fleeing the scene, according to Robin Ericson with LPD. 

While checking the area, officers found no individual who had been shot. The black Acura was possibly seen running red lights northbound on Hover Street, said Ericson. 

Officers canvassed for witnesses, footage of the incident and physical evidence. Individuals who called about the shooting were interviewed by police. 

As of today, police have not located any gunshot victims or suspects.
