Longmont Police are looking for a man who severely beat a 61-year-old nail salon owner Saturday morning.
A man entered the nail salon on North Main Street about 11 a.m., according to a news release from the police department. Upon entry, the suspect assaulted the female owner, beating her into unconsciousness. The suspect was last seen leaving the salon through the back door of the business about 11:34 a.m, police said.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment and was moved to a rehab center on Thursday, according to police.
A video photograph shows the assailant as an Hispanic man, who is between 20 and 30 years old and about 5 feet, 4 inches to 5 feet, 7 inches tall. He was last seen wearing jeans, brown boots, an orange cap, a maroon/navy striped short-sleeve shirt. He had short black hair, possibly recently cut.
