At approximately 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, a resident on the 1600 block of Brown Court reported hearing gunshots. The Longmont Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Juniper Street, where “vehicles were seen speeding off from the scene,” according to Sgt. Matt Cage of the Longmont Police Department.
The police believe it is possible the suspect or suspects may have been in the cars.
A resident of the 1600 block of Brown Court also contacted police following the incident and reported hearing gunshots. Sgt. Cage with the Longmont Police Department said that it is possible that the suspect(s) were inside the vehicles. The LPD collected bullet casings fired from an illegal firearm at the scene, according to Cage.
The suspects in the case are unknown and the case is closed pending more information.
