Structure fire is under investigation for arson

On Tuesday, May 17, 2021, the Longmont Police Department responded to the 1,000 block of Gay St. on the report of a structure fire.

“A residential structure was engulfed in flames,” according to the daily Longmont police report.

Sgt. Matt Cage said Longmont Fire Department is now investigating the scene for possible charges of arson. Cage expects to know more details of the investigation next week.
