On Tuesday, a 53-year-old Longmont woman allegedly threatened to start a fire in her building in the 00 block of Third Avenue. When officers arrived at the scene they discovered that some of the carpet in the hallway had been melted.
The officers obtained a warrant and arrested the woman without incident. She was taken to Boulder County Jail and charged with first-degree arson, menacing, harassment and reckless endangerment.
