With Longmont Restaurant Week starting this Friday, April 20th, the Longmont Observer will be publishing previews of the $18.71 menu.

Keith MacPhail, owner of Mac's Place in Longmont, invited the Longmont Observer to preview the menu as well as answer a few questions.

Why did you choose the items on the menu for Longmont Restaurant Week?

We wanted to have fun with the menu and play with items we don't usually have. We wanted to bring back some things that we haven't had on the menu for awhile such as French Connection, our take on the Monte Cristo. Also, we wanted to offer a favorite for breakfast that is intensive to make such as our breakfast lasagna.

What is your favorite item on the regular menu?

The Rueban

What is your favorite restaurant in Longmont?

For something fancy: Sugarbeets

For something more casual: Longs Peak Pub and Taphouse
