Regal Village at the Peaks & RPX is set to reopen May 7

Movie lovers will once again be able to see the latest blockbusters on the big screen at The Regal Cinemas at Longmont’s Village at the Peaks beginning May 7, 2021.

The national theater chain suspended operations nation-wide in October 2020, amidst concerns about the spread of COVID-19.

The theater has instituted safety precautions to prevent the spread of the virus in the theater. These precautions are part of the CinemaSafe program that was commissioned by the National Association of Theater Owners in August 2020.

A list of precautions and safety protocols are available on Regal’s website.

Guests of the theater will be required to wear appropriate face coverings while inside the theater, unless eating or drinking while seated inside an auditorium.

Regal encourages moviegoers to purchase their tickets via the Regal mobile app, and have added additional functionality to allow patrons to order concessions via mobile app to reduce contact between guests and employees.

Every other register at the concession counter will be closed to maintain social distancing, though the alcohol service will still remain walk-up only. Self-service condiment stands will be closed for the time being, and the location will offer a limited menu for the foreseeable future.

Regal employees will partake in daily health screenings and temperature checks. All theater staff will be required to wear masks throughout their shift and wash their hands every 30-60 minutes.

In the interest of public health and safety, guests who have fevers or experience COVID-19 related symptoms are asked to stay home. The company states that guests who have purchased tickets and then display symptoms may request a refund online.
