Longmont Economic Development Partnership issued a press release on June 13, 2017, regarding Janine Ledingham stepping from down from her position with the organization.

Janine Ledingham, Director of Local Business and Startup Community Development at the Longmont Economic Development Partnership announced today that she will be stepping down from her position with the organization to pursue other interests.  Ledingham has been with the organization since January of 2015 and her last day will coincide with the final day of Longmont Startup Week on July 28, an event she has played a key role in organizing and managing.

“It has been great working with the talented staff at the Longmont Economic Development Partnership, as well as the Board, Mayor and City Council, and City staff, and a privilege to serve and support the amazing local business and startup communities in Longmont,” Janine said.  She continued, “The city is on a great growth trajectory and that has been fun to be a part of.”

Some of Janine’s many contributions to the community during her tenure with the Longmont EDP have included: working with over 300 businesses, assisting in awarding over $1 million in grants and small business loans to existing and startup Longmont businesses, establishing the Local Business Advisory Committee, expanding the Longmont EDP business survey program to include local businesses, hosting and sponsoring over 45 small business workshops, and bringing NewTech Meetup to Longmont.

“Janine has been an incredible asset to the Longmont EDP over the last three years as we have evolved into an organization serving all sectors of the local economy and our business community,” stated Longmont EDP President/CEO Jessica Erickson. “I cannot thank her enough for her contributions to the organization and to the Longmont community, and I look forward to seeing her continue to succeed in her future endeavors.”

With Janine’s departure, the Longmont EDP is taking the opportunity to re-evaluate staffing needs as the organization continues to grow. They expect to post the opening for an economic development specialist position by mid-July.
