Founder Jennifer Ferguson and her passion for local business
Wonder Tours offers guided food tours of the local area in a “try before you buy it” experience. Participants board the Wonder Tours bus and are transported through a progressive dining experience to multiple local restaurants and breweries, concluding at an establishment where, after the tour ends, the socializing can organically continue.
The launch party filled the main floor of The Wild Game, also celebrating a milestone in Longmont. Partygoers were treated to a buffet style meal, hosted bar and tunes from the local band Suave Agave.
Ferguson starts by saying, “The reason we are here tonight is not because of what, I, Jennifer Ferguson, am doing. We’re here because of what we’re doing as a community together.”
Ferguson started Wonder Tours because of her passion for local business and as a way to benefit the entire community. As the founder of Longmont Startup Week, she has interacted with many small business owners and understands the struggles small businesses face in trying to connect with a community.
As the party continued, Ferguson demonstrated her commitment to community by introducing her partnership with the Longmont Food Rescue, a 501c3 nonprofit that orchestrates food donation from restaurants, farmer’s markets and other food establishments directly to the community. Longmont Food Rescue also educates the community and advocates for the reduction in food waste. Wonder Tours is a collection point for patrons wishing to donate food.
The night continued with additional announcements of a limited time membership level, ability to host custom tours, charters and group transportations and a teaser into future tours and expansion into neighboring cities.
Ferguson closed with, “there’s some fun out there waiting for you. And I want to help you find it.”
