A workshop called “All About Pronouns!” is set to occur at the Longmont Library on Monday, June 2, according to a city announcement.
Aliadxs LLC, an organization that works to advance the rights and acceptance of LGBTIQ2S+ and Latinx communities through the power of inclusive language and culturally responsive information, is presenting the workshop in association with A La Raíz BCPH and OASOS. The free event will include snacks, prizes, and the opportunity to earn a free training certificate.
“This fun, interactive workshop is your chance to learn how small changes in language can make a big difference,” the announcement said. “You’ll get practical tips for using pronouns respectfully, explore ways to promote LGBTIQ2S inclusion in everyday conversation, and walk away with tools to become a stronger ally — at work, in school, or in your community.”
The workshop, which is being offered at no cost to the library, is geared toward adults and teens, but people of all ages are welcome, according to Jon Solomon, Longmont Library director.
The “All About Pronouns!” workshop will take place in the Longmont Library meeting rooms, 409 Fourth Ave., from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Registration is required and may be completed through the city’s website.
