Residents are invited to serve as official advisors to the Longmont City Council on any of several boards or commissions. The committees serve as advisory groups helping City Council
learn about and make decisions on a wide variety of issues that affect the safety, economy and quality of life of Longmont’s residents and businesses.
As a member of these committees, residents research and discuss local issues and offer their recommendations to Longmont City Council. Board members generally spend a few hours a month preparing for and attending meetings usually hosted in a Longmont City building. However, these meetings may be performed digitally to combat the spread of COVID-19.
Applicants must be a registered voter of Longmont and reside inside Longmont city limits for at least one year prior to being appointed.
