United Power opened balloting for the 2024 Director Election. Members of the cooperative have an opportunity to have a voice in their board representation.
United Power serves more than 106,000 meters across 900 square miles. The service area is broken into two non-contiguous areas — the plains northeast of Denver and two historic mountain canyons. The western boundary of the former overlaps with Longmont’s city boundaries.
Four positions are up for election this year. Stephen Whitside is the incumbent for the Mountain district and is running for reelection. Brian McCormick is seeking reelection for the North district. Tim Erickson, the incumbent, and Paige Wagner-Maul will face off for the Central district and Brad Case is seeking reelection for the South district.
Members can cast their votes by logging into their online account or the United Power Mobile app. Ballots can also be mailed in by April 16. Members may also vote at the cooperative’s annual meeting on April 17.
Members are also asked to vote for a bylaw amendment that would lengthen the directors’ terms from three to four years if passed.
