An update on the Boulder County Fairgrounds Master Plan is scheduled to be presented Tuesday, Nov. 16, from 5-7:30 p.m. in Longmont at the fairground’s Exhibit Building, 9595 Nelson Road.
An open house is scheduled from 5-6 p.m., presentation at 6-7 p.m. followed by another open house 7:7:30 p.m.
Boulder County hired the architectural group, Design Workshop, to lead the Master Plan Update effort, according to a Boulder County news release.
The Fairgrounds Master Plan will guide the evolution of the facility into a far-reaching community-events complex by identifying meaningful ways to continue to serve the community, exploring future upgrades to the facility and maintaining a focus on the rural heritage and agricultural focus of Boulder County, according to the news release.
The Nov. 16 event will include opportunities for one-on-one discussions with Design Workshop and Boulder County staff before and after the presentation. Boards will be set up with interactive activities planned at various stations, the news release states. The presentation will include live keypad polling. The same polling questions will be available after the meeting through a survey on the webpage for those who cannot attend the meeting, the news release states.
