LGBTQ+ PRIDE month begins in June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Riots and efforts to achieve equality for LGBTQ+ Americans. Today, celebrations include parades, parties, picnics, concerts, and workshops. There are also memorials for LGBTQ+ members who have been lost due to hate crimes or HIV/AIDS. 

The purpose of these celebrations is to highlight the impact LGBTQ+ members have on history locally, nationally, and internationally. PRIDE month is about equality and fostering acceptance for LGBTQ+ members. 

Out Boulder County is hosting its annual Boulder County PRIDE Week from June 6-June 12. PRIDE Week has a range of events from more family oriented events, to events geared towards those 21 and up. 

Monday, June 6

PRIDE Ponies in partnership with Boulder Public Library and Medicine Horse: at The Equality Center of the Rocky Mountains (3340 Mitchell Ln, Boulder, CO 80301) Time: TBD. 

 

Tuesday, June 7 

LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group Mixer: Time and Location: TBD

QTPOC Mixer: at The Equality Center of the Rocky Mountains (3340 Mitchell Ln, Boulder, CO 80301) from 5:30-7 p.m.

 

Wednesday, June 8 

50+ LGBTQ+ Mixer in partnership with Boulder County Area Agency on Aging: at The Equality Center of the Rocky Mountains (3340 Mitchell Ln, Boulder, CO 80301) from 4-6 p.m.

Queer Contenders (LGBTQ+ Video Game Tournament): at The Equality Center of the Rocky Mountains (3340 Mitchell Ln, Boulder, CO 80301) from 4-6 p.m.

 

Thursday, June 9 

Drag Queen Storytime in partnership with Lafayette Library: Lafayette Public Library (775 Baseline Rd, Lafayette, CO 80026) from 10-11 a.m. 

Pride @ the Plaza in partnership with City of Lafayette: Festival Plaza (311 S Public Rd, Lafayette, CO 80026) from 12-3 p.m. 

Drag Trivia Happy Hour: at The Equality Center of the Rocky Mountains (3340 Mitchell Ln, Boulder, CO 80301) from 6-9 p.m. 

 

Friday, June 10 

Boulder County Pride Party in partnership with DV8 Distillery: at DV8 Distillery (2480 49th St E, Boulder, CO 80301) from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. 


Saturday, June 11

Longmont Pride Festival: 4th Avenue between Main Street and Emery Street, Longmont, CO 80501 from 2-6 p.m. 

 

Sunday, June 12 

Boulder Pride Motorcade: The motorcade will parade from 29th Street Mall to Downtown Boulder. Sign up for the motorcade here. 

Boulder Pride Festival: Boulder Central Park (Boulder Bandshell, 1212 Canyon Blvd, Boulder, CO 80302) from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
