Boulder County Public Health is ramping down COVID-19 testing locations, including at the Boulder County Fairgrounds and the St. Vrain Valley Schools Innovation Center.
As vaccinations go up, the need for ongoing testing sites has diminished, according to a Boulder County news release. Health officials are still encouraging symptomatic community members to get tested even if they have been vaccinated.
The following is the closing or modified schedule for testing sites:
- Boulder County Fairgrounds - June 9 will be the last day for operations. BCPH is seeking a new site and will announce details in the coming weeks.
- St. Vrain Valley School Innovation Center - June 18 will be the last day for operations.
- Stazio Ballfields - Sept. 30 is currently scheduled to be the last day for operations at this site. BCPH will continue to assess usage in the coming months.
- Testing sites in partnership with Boulder Community Health:
- Lyons testing site at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints ended on May 28.
- Nederland Community Center testing site will continue on a month-to-month basis.
- Testing within shelters will continue on a month-to-month basis.
Mobile teams will be available to provide testing should there be concerning outbreaks, according to the news release. Also, BCPH will continue to coordinate with early childhood education, K-12 and summer camp partners, as well as University of Colorado-Boulder for the fall.
