The Regional Transportation District is increasing bus service on two of Longmont’s Ride Free bus routes, starting on Monday, June 14. Both the 324 and 326 routes will double their current service levels, with buses picking up riders at their stops every 30 minutes, according to a city of Longmont news release.

  • The 324 bus route serves the entire stretch of Main Street in Longmont, starting at Park Ridge Avenue heading south through downtown, with additional access along Pike Road, Clover Basin Drive, Airport Road to Nelson Road and out to the Silver Creek High School area.
  • The 326 serves North Main Street at Park Ridge Avenue, 23rd and 21st avenues, Hover Street, Mountain View Avenue near Longmont United Hospital, Longs Peak Middle and Longmont High Schools, Francis Street, and Longs Peak Avenue to downtown.

For a complete list of the schedule changes, visit RTD’s website. The schedule changes begin on Sunday, June 13 but Longmont’s local route changes begin on Monday, June 14 as the weekend routes are not affected by this change, the news release states.

All of these services are free to all transit riders, with lower cost transfers available to the regional uses such as the BOLT and LD routes, the news release states.
