Fancy seeing Lady Gaga or the Broncos in Denver this December? Or maybe a wheel barrel full of booze is more your thing? These are just a few of the amazing auction prizes up for grabs at the Celebrate HOPE benefit event in Longmont next week.
On Friday, September 8th, 6-9 pm the Longmont non-profit, Homeless Outreach Providing Encouragement (HOPE) will hold its annual Celebrate HOPE fundraising event at the historic Shupe Homestead at 61st Street & Hygiene Road. This year is extra special for the organization as they are celebrating 10 years of helping the Longmont community.
Every night of the year, HOPE provides basic needs support for people experiencing homelessness in Longmont. In 2016, HOPE staff and volunteers interacted 36,942 times with 1,500 separate individuals in Longmont. HOPE provided 30,200 meals, 4,025 pair of socks, 1,800 pair of underwear, 1,630 blankets, and 1,432 hygiene kits, 158 emergency medical respite stays and introduced an emergency overnight shelter service from November 15 – March 15.
Celebrate HOPE is the non-profit's signature event raising significant dollars to support the work they do and is attended by hundreds of local supporters and stakeholders. The evening's festivities include a harvest-themed buffet dinner, wine, beer, seasonal cocktails, fantastic silent and live auction items, games of chance, free photo booth inside the ShutterBus and live music.
