County's COVID-19 numbers sliding

Boulder County’s COVID-19 numbers are sliding in several key areas, including in the prevalence of the virus in the general population.

The seven-day positivity rate among county residents is at 16.0%, according to the county’s COVID-19 data posted on Monday, Jan. 31. This is compared to 20.8% from last Monday.

New cases per 100,000 people in the past seven days is at 915.40, compared to last Monday’s 1,513. County data also shows 348 people in Boulder County have died from the virus, compared to 344 from last Monday, the data shows.

The total number of people who have tested positive or considered probable for COVID-19 is at 57,838. Last Monday, the number was at 55,422.

The number of Boulder County residents newly reported as testing positive for the virus is at the lowest level since mid-December, the data shows.

Data also shows that 95% of county residents have received at least one dose of the vaccine and 73% have received the full course of vaccines.
