For an estimated 45 days, Coffman Street in downtown Longmont is expected to have delays, detours and closures.
The city of Longmont is undergoing a water main replacement project in the downtown area.
According to a news release from the city of Longmont, southbound Coffman Street will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. beginning Sept. 2. Traffic for this direction will be detoured to Main Street. A local detour for the project has been mapped for Main Street and First Avenue for vehicular, pedestrian and bicycle traffic.
Northbound Coffman Street will remain open at all times during the construction. Parking will not be allowed on either side of Coffman Street during construction.
