NEWS RELEASE
LONGMONT MUSEUM
*************************

Welcome back to Discovery Days! Our fall semester kicks off next week on Tuesday, Sept. 5. We have some exciting new changes starting this fall semester - please read the announcements below.

Also, Longmont Mayor Joan Peck proclaimed next week as Discovery Days Week to help us kick off the season!

New Session Start Times! 9:15 a.m., 10:45 a.m. & 1 p.m.

We are now starting each first session at 9:15 a.m. instead of 9 a.m.! This should make it a bit easier for families to get checked in at the front desk on those busy days. This change means we also shifted the next session time to start at 10:45 a.m.

New Art Sessions on Saturdays!

So many families aren't able to attend Art sessions during the week, but now they can attend a class on Saturdays! We even have a new instructor for who will be helping during the week and on Saturdays.

New Fee Structure!

Discovery Days serves both children and their caregivers, and keeping that in mind, we have adjusted our fee structure. Each person, ages 2 and up, will now pay a smaller fee to participate in Discovery Days.

  • $2.25 per person for members
  • $2.50 per person for nonmembers

For some folks, this won't drastically change the amount you had been paying to participate, but if this change presents a challenge to you, please consider applying for our Discovery Days Scholarships!

Our first week of Discovery Days fall semester has a Late Start Day!
