The City of Longmont is planning a full 24‐hour closure of the eastbound lane of Pike Road from S. Sunset Street to Kristy Court starting on Monday, May 11 and continuing until Friday, May 22, weather permitting. This closure is necessary to allow crews to safely widen Pike Road to accommodate bike lanes as part of the current Pike Road Improvements Project.

Construction will take place daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. but the eastbound lane will remain closed overnight due to various construction activities. Eastbound local traffic will be allowed to travel between S. Sunset Street and S. Pratt Parkway. Detour signs will direct all other traffic from S. Sunset Street to Ken Pratt Blvd. The westbound lane of Pike Road will remain open to all traffic types.

The public is encouraged to avoid using Pike Road as a commuter route until this project is completed in the fall. Current project information and traffic impacts can be found on the project website at http://bit.ly/Pike‐Road‐Improvements.
If you have questions or concerns about the project, please call the Project Hotline at (720) 526‐ 2044 or email [email protected].
