A fast-moving fire in the Table Mesa Area of south Boulder has so far had no impact on any property within Longmont city limits, Public Safety spokeswoman Robin Ericson said this afternoon.
"This has no impact on Longmont at all," said Longmont Public Safety spokeswoman Robin Ericson. City crews have been dispatched to help fight the blaze, which has burned about 120 acres with no containment.
Residents of the Table Mesa and Martin Acres areas were ordered to evacuate about 3:30 p.m. due to the fire, according to a tweet from Boulder Police.
About 8,000 homes have been evacuated, according to reports. Officials are calling the blaze the NCAR fire, which was first reported about 2:59 p.m.
