Evictions filed last month in Boulder County were the highest since the pandemic began.

According to the Colorado Judicial Branch’s Eviction Filings Dashboard, 154 evictions were filed in February in the 20th Judicial District, which encompasses Boulder County. Filings for the first two months of the year are up 12.7% compared to the first two months of 2022.

February is the highest number of eviction filings in the three years of data provided by the state, followed by January 2022 when 141 cases were filed.

Last year, 1,315 evictions were filed in Boulder County courts, compared to 638 in 2021 and 464 in 2020 when eviction moratoriums were in place in response to the pandemic.

Statewide, eviction filings have increased by 33.4% so far this year compared to last, with more than 2,000 additional cases through March 6, according to state data.
