A 31-year-old Longmont man killed in a motor vehicle collision near the intersection of 5th Avenue and Main Street Wednesday morning has been identified as Angel Moctezuma, according to a Thursday news release from the Boulder County Coroner.
An examination of Moctezuma has been completed and the cause and manner of death are pending further investigation, according to the news release.
The crash occurred at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, when a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by Moctezuma, traveling northbound on Main Street, struck the center median and a light pole at the mid-block crosswalk, according to a Longmont Police news release.
Moctezuma died at the scene. Reckless driving, speed and alcohol/drugs may have contributed to the crash, the Longmont Police news release states.
